The evening and night time environment in any city regularly receives bad press due to the association with alcohol related trouble and violence as a consequence. City Safe is a great example of businesses and organisations working together who aspire to change that.
All members will be recognised for reaching the City Safe standards and receive free or subsidized training courses for their staff from City Safe’s commercial partners who include the British Institute of Innkeepers, Punch Taverns and Fuel Communications.
The scheme is designed for raising the standards in licensed premises namely pubs, bars, night clubs and restaurants to ensure a safer enjoyable evening environment within Plymouth city centre.
Plymouth City Safe is a partnership initiative developed by the licensed trade, Plymouth City Council, Devon and Somerset Fire Rescue Service and the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. Supporting organisations are the BII, Plymouth Community Safety Partnership and Plymouth after Dark Project. |
